Yahoo sucks.
I used to look up to Yahoo big time. They were the shiznit when it came to web development some 3-5 years ago. If I was writing an app that had Yahoo did, I went to see how they went about doing it and I would reverse engineer it for the most part. Calendering apps, contacts, portals, search engines, you name it. I used to look to see how they did it before I wrote a lick of code. They were the best, hands down. Back in the day....
Today I want to add a profile on my Yahoo account. It took me 20 min to get nowhere. I could delete a profile no problem.... thinking that they had a glitch that required me to delete a profile before adding a new one. No dice.
Well after 20 min and 3 deleted profiles, and logging back into my account *12 times* (no really) and no new profile... I said fuck it and created a new account called Yahhoo_sux. BINGO!!!!
If I put ppl though that sorta shite I would get fired on the spot. I wonder if their shite is just as fuctup as every other company with dumb ass management.
Yahoo! sucks and I wholeheartedly agree! I had an email account with them for over 10 years. Never once did I forget my password, seeing as I used it almost every day. Recently, Yahoo changed their log in process to require adding the domain into the log in ID box. For some reason, this caused a glitch in my account preventing me from logging in. I contact them, they ask for my personal info. So, I give them as much as I can remember, seeing as I entered it 10 years ago, and of course, gave them something incorrectly. After the back and forth with proving who I am since July '08, I STILL have not been allowed into my email account. HELLO? It was YAHOO's FAULT that I couldn't get in!! I didn't forget anything. You wouldn't believe the mindless banter, scripted responses and blatant disregard for what I was asking in my emails. They had once even asked for contact names and folder names to prove I am me, which I GAVE!! I will never use Yahoo again, not even as a search engine. I've never been so annoyed. I have high school friends that I only know their email, gone..photos of them and their kids, gone. Personal receipts and site registrations, all gone. I HATE YAHOO!!!!!
